Dear Members,

The MetBPA will once again be presenting the Celebration of Life concert which is part of our anti-violence programme.

This is one of our programmes to tackle the issues around the senseless killing of our young people and violent crime within the black community.

This is an opportunity for all members to support this programme. It is also an opportunity to spend an evening of enjoyment with your family and friends.

It is advisable to buy your tickets now so that you get the best seats as this will be widely publicised in the next week. If you have not attended before then speak to someone who has and then you will realise what you have been missing out on.

New dates announced for Ready Steady Cook in September! Ainsley Harriott is back in the Ready Steady Cook green and red kitchens for the 21st series of Britain's best-loved cookery show. Two top chefs have just twenty minutes to create culinary masterpieces from a bag of mystery food ingredients chosen by two celebrity guests. After 20 minutes cooking, the guests get to sample the mouth-watering dishes and the studio audience chooses the winner, using electronic voting pads. The chefs then compete for the role of head chef in the demanding Quickie Bag Challenge. They just have ten minutes to whip up an array of delicious dishes from a Ready Steady Cook food bag brought by a specially invited member of the audience. Ready Steady Cook continues to inspire viewers of all ages with its mixture of sensational cooking, inspirational guests and Ainsley's unique blend of wit, warmth and food wisdom. Recording on the following dates at BBC Television Centre. Each day has a lunchtime recording and an afternoon recording.
