THE UK -FRENCH SUMMIT

Nicolas Sarkozy and Gordon Brown, the British prime minister, have promised closer co-operation between their countries, as the French president's two-day visit to the UK comes to an end.

Mr Brown replied: "We will not be boycotting the Olympic Games. Britain will be attending the Olympic Games ceremonies. The Dalai Lama has not called for the boycott of the Olympics."
At a joint press conference with Gordon Brown marking the final day of his state visit to London, Mr Sarkozy said they have both been "shocked" by events in Tibet where a wave of anti-Chinese protests have been brutally suppressed by the authorities.

British citizenship is one of the six different forms of British nationality. And this is how they are conducted:

If you were born in the United Kingdom before 1 January 1983, you are almost certainly a British citizen. The only exception is if you were born to certain diplomatic staff of foreign missions who had diplomatic immunity.
The citizenship ceremony

Even if you were born in the United Kingdom, you will not be a British citizen if neither of your parents was a British citizen or legally settled here at the time of your birth. This means you are not a British citizen if, at the time of your birth, your parents were in the country temporarily, had stayed on without permission, or had entered the country illegally and had not been given permission to stay here indefinitely.
After you have lived legally in the United Kingdom for a certain length of time (usually between two and five years), you may be able to apply to live here permanently, depending on the category of visa you have. You should see the appropriate category for more information on whether you can apply for permanent residence and the qualifying period for it. See Application types for details of categories that may qualify.

Becoming a British citizen is a significant event and should be celebrated in a meaningful way. At the ceremony, you will be welcomed into your local community and meet other people in the area who are becoming British citizens.

Oath of allegiance:
I (name) swear by Almighty God that on becoming a British citizen, I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, her Heirs and Successors, according to law.

Affirmation of allegiance
I (name) do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm that on becoming a British citizen, I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, her Heirs and Successors, according to law.
Pledge
I will give my loyalty to the United Kingdom and respect its rights and freedoms. I will uphold its democratic values. I will observe its laws faithfully and fulfil my duties and obligations as a British citizen.

We loved you Mama / Bibi but God loves you most.

Jesus Christ said in John 14: 1-3 " Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I'm going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you I'll come back again to take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be."

We Christians are citizens of heaven, as in Philippians 3:20-21 "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself."

Finally, brothers, lets pray for each other during this time of distress, though I know that our Lord, gave us solace through Moses in Deuteronomy 4:30-31, "In your distress, when all these things shall have come upon you, you shall finally return to the lord, your God, and heed his voice. Since the Lord, your God, is a merciful God, he will not abandon and destroy you, nor forget the covenant which under oath he made with your fathers."
